Our History

Satya Niketan Higher Secondary School has been serving Nagod and the surrounding villages since 1985 shortly after Chandrakant and Rebecca Shourie moved to town. Their academic backgrounds were rooted in some of India’s great universities, and they wanted to bring that level of academic quality to Nagod.

The school started with just a handful of students, and we have grown to upwards of one thousand students in recent years. Swati and Ashish, two of the Shourie’s children, have stayed in Nagod to help run the school well into the future. It is our great pleasure to serve the Nagod community as best as we are able.

Our Vision

To raise up a generation of young people unhindered by the constraints of poverty, empowered to produce meaningful change in their communities, inspired to live in hope, and committed to the flourishing of their nation and the world

Our Leadership

As founders and leaders of this institution, we take great care and pride in doing our best for our staff and our students. We are constantly meeting together to discuss and implement ways to keep our institution relevant and impactful according to the changing needs and standards that we face in today’s fast-paced world.
